Change BCC User's Feature Plan

When an account is switched (migrated) from Cloud PBX to Business Cloud Communications, each user is automatically assigned the Standard feature plan and their Voice Portal Access toggle is turned off (which also means the Welcome Email is blocked), so you won't be required to enter the user's email address just to get started.

A BCC user's feature plan can be changed at any time in User Management.

  1. Go to Account > User > Edit > Settings tab.

  2. Click the Feature Plan drop-down menu and select a new plan.
    • Upgrade: When switching from Standard to Advanced or Professional, the Voice Portal Access toggle is turned on by default, and the Email AddressUsername, and End User Role fields are required. See Set Up BCC Users for information about these fields.

    • Downgrade: When switching from Advanced or Professional to Standard, the Voice Portal Access toggle is optional. If the user doesn't need online account access, flip the toggle off.

  3. Click [Save]. The user's feature set will be changed immediately. If switching to Standard, their Cymbus app login will be deactivated.

    • If the Voice Portal access is enabled, the Welcome email will be sent to the user with their account login information. See Block the Welcome Email if you don't want it to be sent quite yet.
